Are you afraid to be exclusive...with your Real Estate Agent? Is it because of the possible long term commitment? If you answered yes to either of these questions, let me assure you, that this document is for the protection of both you and the agent.

Primarily, the Buyer Broker agreement outlines the work a Real Estate Agent will do as your fiduciary, in a real estate transaction. This is a fancy way of saying it lets you know that the Agent has your back and is now working for your best interest in the transaction. It does not obligate you to purchase a home, however, it confirms your agreement to work with that agent, the brokerage they represent, and that they will be compensated if a sale occurs.

What happens if I am not happy with my Agent?

It is a harsh reality that some relationships do not work out. In this case, you may request to be released from your Agency agreement. This will allow you to find a better fit for your home buying needs.
